A minor surgical procedure to address a tight frenulum or scarring from a prior rupture, performed under local anaesthesia. The consult and procedure can often be done on the same day – please enquire first.

Initial Consultation Cost
$200 - see Medicare rebate information below. Typical out of pocket cost with rebate $115.10.
Medicare Rebate
You may be eligible for a $43.90-84.90 medicare rebate for the initial face-to-face consult. Some telehealth rebates are available if you have been to the practice within the last 12 months.
Follow-Up Consultations
Convenient follow up can be arranged in-clinic or via video or phone. Follow up appointments for the same issue are usually bulk-billed for eligible patients. Otherwise a reduced fee applies.
Face-to-Face vs Video Consultations
Initial consultations are recommended in-person to allow for physical examination and to qualify for Medicare rebates. Video and phone consultations are available for convenience but do not attract a Medicare rebate for new patients.
